Strange that after all these years of poor hutkeepers they still haven't developed the exceptional tourist spot above Bohinj? The example shows that in Bohinj there is still no developed awareness of good hutkeepers even though it's just serving tea to a rare guest in the outgoing autumn season. Abroad they work until the end, as they started the season; the tourist is always well catered for and respected.

Today's road closure to planina Blato changed our plans and instead of the pasture in Laz, we decided for Vogar. It's nice up there above Lake Bohinj, especially now when the Kranj lilies are blooming. The day was spiced up for us by paragliders who used the thermals of today's sunny day in Bohinj.

Otiv, I think we met at P .. we too had a change of plan, we went to Pršivec and enjoyed the views, flowers, watching paragliders nasmeh

Stara Fužina - Kosijev dom on Vogar... The path is quite steep, rocky. Kosijev dom stands on a beautiful pasture. Views from the take-off point and viewpoint, just a little further from the hut, were wonderful. Winter gear not needed. The path is almost all dry, and the snow is nice to walk on. nasmeh

Vogar can be a standalone hike, especially if you plan swimming in Lake Bohinj nasmeh

. And especially if you last crossed it at the end of high school nasmeh

, when returning from Triglav for the first time. I was amazed up there by all the beauty, good energy, nice hut and on the way back also crowd of people climbing up. Must go to viewpoint too, and a bit further on path to 7J. For me everything new nasmeh

. Path not as annoying as in memory. My tour conclusion: we'll come up again nasmeh

First winter day, Kosijev dom on Vogar. A few pics for easier decision on these winter paths. Parking in Stara Fužina has closed barriers. Road ahead is plowed, don't know how far. Lots of snow on path and around hut. Winter idyll, only trees have shed whiteness. Bushes still snow-covered. Path well trodden even to take-off. Had small crampons, but on return big ones would have been useful. Downhill harder, snow smooth and hard. Mists over lake, nature magic even prettier. Just missed some sun, still nice.. nasmeh

Visited it first time and nothing was missing for us, autumn nature does its thing too.

Yesterday to Vogar and a bit further, first time in winter. I looked for tracks ahead to Pl. at the lake, but not many, more cart track, don't know how far. Towards Pršivec hardly any, and those already melted. On return added something new: direct descent to Devil's Bridge then down along the cable to Mostnica and on to Stara Fužina. Really great view of its widened bed!
On the path from Vogar need to be careful, icy sections in between.
