Hello,
maybe someone knows how the path 618/615 from Riofreddo to Prašnik Saddle and then path 617 to Holy Višarje and then path 612a back to Riofreddo is. I'm particularly interested if the entire path is normally passable and how the water springs are. I need precise info on how high the stream in the Mrzle vode valley starts currently or at what height it is still possible to collect water from it. Thanks

Path OK, water sources at the end of the valley a bit left of the meadow there where path 615 junctions to saddle "sella delle cave".

Next week I would climb from Riofreddo to the church on the Holy Višarje. I read somewhere that this is an old pilgrimage path.
I'm interested how much time I need from the chapel in Riofreddo to the Church on
the Holy Višarje
And I need one more piece of data
Is the gondola to Višarje maybe already running
When is the last ride
And from Predel to Riofreddo by road, I didn't find any footpath. How much time on foot would that part take.

Good 2 hours; gondola from the start of July every day (probably from 29 June onwards), now only weekends; from Cave del Predil village a good hour, from Predil saddle .... wishing all the best... 3 hours?

On this path (past the crosses) I descended twice and as I remember the path starts approx 100m ahead of Riofreddo village to the left from the main road Rajbl-Trbiž. The chapel is on the path to the Mrzle potok valley at the end of Riofreddo settlement - approx 300m from the main road. To that asphalt walking I would gladly refuse in your place.

CAI sign (white-red) marking the start of the pilgrimage path stands a few meters ahead of the chapel in Riofreddo village (see Alessio's photo 4, dated 24.8.2020). There it is also nicely mown. If you start on the main road, you must go on the cart track.

Yeah really now I noticed (and he also writes it's new), back then it wasn't there. There were old markings from Višarska planina down, which got lost towards the bottom. And we weren't too attentive towards the end, since we followed the cart track.

Yesterday my friend and I hiked the Mrzle vode path to the church at Višarje.
The path is nicely marked and with stops we took 3 hours. The path goes steeply through the forest and is nicely shady. Didn't meet any hikers on this path.
Very nice experience.
