VIA ALPINA starts at (former) border crossing Krvavi Potok not at Kozina! From border crossing (coming from Italy) go main road to junction for Vrhpolje. Follow asphalted village road past football field and over small bridge to first left junction. From here on macadam path in hairpins uphill (to hut on Kokoš GPS track correct). Behind hut descend alpine trail to junction (direction signs) right downhill to Škibini. Cross asphalted road and Casino parking, continue direction Lipiška vrata. Here right (direction signs) on cart track through meadows into forest. At first forest junction right (not straight as in GPS), follow markings on worsening cart track ending in path to "horse" path Lipica - Lokev. On "horse" path 30m then left on poor (marked) path through forest past former enclosures to next cart track, cross it (direction signs, near quarry) on good trodden path back to good cart track, right on it to asphalted Sežana - Lokev road. Cross road to cave Vilenica. Past Vilenica to water pipeline trace (direction signs, logbook box and stamp) right along it to Lokve. In village asphalted streets to Lokavski tabor (now military museum) and parallel asphalted street to regional Divača - Bazovica road, cross at junction to Prelože. From here GPS track correct. VA route correctly/accurately drawn on hiking map "Slovenska Istra, Čičarija, Brkini, Kras" PZS 2011 entirely excellently marked! celoti
