Ambrož pod Krvavcem - Kriška planina

Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana - Jesenice highway, take the Vodice exit, then continue driving to the first traffic-light intersection in Vodice, where you continue left in the direction of Cerklje na Gorenjskem and Brnik. When you arrive at the main roundabout in Spodnji Brnik, continue driving in the direction of Cerklje and the Krvavec ski area. At the end of the settlement Cerklje na Gorenjskem, leave the main road, which continues towards Velesovo and Visoko, and continue slightly right onto the road towards the Krvavec ski area. Further on, you reach the village of Grad, where signs for the settlement Ambrož pod Krvavcem direct you right onto a steep asphalt road (straight ahead: the lower station of the circular-cabin cable car to Krvavec and Štefanja Gora). When the gradient on the steep road eases somewhat, you will arrive at an intersection, where you continue left in the direction of the settlement Ambrož pod Krvavcem (straight ahead: settlements Ravne, Apno and Šenturška Gora). A little further on, the road temporarily descends slightly, then ascends through occasionally quite panoramic slopes. Higher up, you arrive at Ambrož pod Krvavcem, where near the open-doors farm Pri Ambružarju there is a larger parking lot. The parking lot is intended for guests of the mentioned farm; if you ask for permission, they will almost certainly allow you to park.
B) From the Jesenice - Ljubljana highway, take the Kranj - east exit, then continue driving towards Brnik, Komenda and Mengeš. When you arrive at the main roundabout in Spodnji Brnik, continue driving in the direction of Cerklje and the Krvavec ski area. At the end of the settlement Cerklje na Gorenjskem, leave the main road, which continues towards Velesovo and Visoko, and continue slightly right onto the road towards the Krvavec ski area. Path description:
From the tourist farm we return to the main road, from there a few steps further we continue left onto the path towards Krvavec. The path continues past a patch of ramsons, higher up it crosses the asphalt road. After a fairly steep ascent that mostly runs through the forest, we approach the road once again completely or even reach it for a few steps. Immediately we continue right in the direction of the Jezerca mountain pasture and ascend gently to moderately. Quickly we reach the cart track along which we step out of the forest onto the Jezerca mountain pasture, where a few wooden huts stand.
We continue the path past a few huts, then behind the huts a path joins from the left from the large marked parking lot by the Jezerca mountain pasture. We continue towards Kriška planina along a path that first brings us with nice views, then partly through the forest, to the lower part of Kriška planina, from where we can also climb to one of the shepherds' huts on the pasture.
