Dovže - Grmovškov dom pod Veliko Kopo

Access to starting point:
A) From the highway Ljubljana - Maribor we go to the exit Žalec, and then we continue driving in the direction of Velenje. In the main roundabout in Velenje we continue right (direction Dravograd and Slovenj Gradec), and then we follow the main road to Mislinja and a little further to the spot, where a road towards the village Dovže branches off to the right. We park on a suitable place by the intersection.
B) From Koroška we first drive to Slovenj Gradec, and then we continue driving towards Velenje. A little after Turiška vas, we will get to an intersection, where the road to the village Dovže branches off to the left. Here we continue left and then after a few meters we park on a suitable place by the intersection.

Path description:
At the starting point, we notice signs for Grmovškov dom, which point us to an asphalt road, on which in a few minutes we walk to Spodnje and then also to Zgornje Dovže. From the church of St. Ulrich in Dovže we continue for approximately 100 m on the main road, and then blazes point us to the left on a side road on which we continue almost to the fire station. Before the fire station we continue right and then immediately after the small bridge left on a cart track (direction Pungart), which gently ascends along the stream. After a few meters, we leave the cart track, because signs for Grmovškov dom point us to the right into the forest, through which we steeply ascend to the nearby macadam road, which we follow to the right. On the road, we walk only for a short time because soon after the left turn blazes again lead us into the forest, through which we then moderately ascend. The path ahead passes out of the forest onto the slopes of a panoramic grassy hillside, on which we quickly ascend to the nearby farm.
Above the farm, or after the neatly arranged chapel we step on the road, which in a gentle ascent we follow to the right. Further for quite some time, we continue on the road, and higher it brings us to the next farm (farm Pušel).
From the farm we continue on the road to the first left turn, here blazes lead us left into the forest, through which we moderately ascend on an old tractor track. Soon we again step on the road, and we reach it right at a smaller intersection. We continue on an ascending road which on the left side bypasses the local landmark (cross), and we quickly leave it because blazes point us slightly to the right on an old cart track. The path quickly returns to the road, but we soon leave it as well. Further, we follow the blazes, which lead us on an old cart track, which moderately ascends along the forest-covered ridge Razborce. Higher, the path brings us out of the forest onto a panoramic grassy ridge, on which we quickly walk to the nearby NOB monument.
Behind the monument the path slightly descends and brings us to the nearby forest road, on which we walk only a short time because then blazes point us slightly right on an ascending cart track, which further moderately ascends along a forest-covered ridge. The path ahead for quite some time leads on and along the ridge, and at the junctions we carefully follow the blazes so as not to stray from the right path. A little higher we step on an asphalt road which leads from Slovenj Gradec towards the ski area Kope. We follow the road to the right, and it past Lukov dom quickly brings us to a large parking lot and above it to Grmovškov dom na Kopah.
