B) We drive to Ptuj, then follow the road towards Lenart v Slovenskih goricah and Gornja Radgona. When we arrive at the settlement Gočova, near the bus station, at the crossroads with mountain direction signposts, the described path begins. There are no arranged parking spaces at the beginning of the path.
Route description:
From the center of Gočova we head onto a side road in the direction of Zavrh and Voličina. At first we go past a few more houses, then we start moderately ascending on the asphalt road, which higher up passes into the forest, then we arrive at the next houses, where at crossroads we follow the markings of the Pomurska planinska pot. There follows some descent, when we again start slightly ascending, at the homestead we leave the road and continue right, immediately after the homestead buildings left and then into the forest. Through the forest we lightly descend on a cart track, at the hunting observatory we go right downhill. After some 10 steps of descent we leave the cart track and continue left, where the markings direct us. After the field the path turns left and between the field (that's why the descent from the hunting observatory was necessary, so that we don't walk through the field) and the forest ascends to the nearby fence, where we go right. A little further we go right (not along the fence to the road) and on a gentle cart track in a few minutes we arrive at the nearby house, where we step onto the road, along it we ascend to a somewhat wider road, which we follow right in the direction of the Pomurska planinska pot. There follows walking on the road, which leads us along a panoramic ridge, quickly we arrive in the settlement Gradenšak. When the road starts ascending again we arrive at a crossroads, where we go left into the settlement Zavrh (right past the chapel the Pomurska planinska pot continues, which is somewhat longer and alongside which there are no markings). After a few minutes of panoramic ascent we arrive at a crossroads by the vintner's museum, where both paths join.
We continue in the direction of the hiking path to Zavrh and in a few minutes of walking among houses we arrive at the place where the stamp is located, the Rudolf Maister lookout tower is located one minute further.

Discussion about the trip Gočova - Zavrh v Slovenskih goricah

I'd give this trail a 1/10 rating. Most of it is along the road, the part in the forest is hard to follow and poorly trodden or uncleaned path. The tower is by the field, in a different place than in the pictures (16), behind the tower meter-high nettles and a manure stream await you. Yuck. I went back directly along the road, 45 min of boredom and ugly houses. Go to the top by car then rather drive to Sv. Trojica in Slovenske gorice and do a walk around the lake. It was wonderful today.

Today we were on the described trip. Unfortunately there was fog, so there were no views. The path is pleasant, very well marked and suitable also for (small) children and dogs. It is quite a bit on asphalt, but that's how it is if you visit destinations in settlements. So let the above comment not deter you. Besides the Rudolf Maister viewpoint tower, which makes the destination really attractive, I also recommend visiting the bife, which is just a few steps away. Friendly service additionally beautifies the day. And one more stamp in the Slovenian Mountain Trail booklet.
