From the direction of Ljubljana we drive through Idrija to Dolenja Trebuša where we turn left towards Gorenja Trebuša. At the turn-off for Čepovan we turn left and continue to the confluence of the streams Jelenk and Trebuščica and just before the concrete bridge we park. Here we have on the right side signs which point us to Poldanovec.
Path description:
In Gorenja Trebuša we start at the signpost for Poldanovec. Further to the first farm, past it on a cart track to the signpost, which directs us to the left. After a short time we get to a gully, where we then move alternately left right through it, until the footpath withdraws right onto the ridge. In between at a few exposed spots there are attached steel cables. Eventually the footpath again descends left into the gully, which we cross and continue on the left side. After some time we again cross to the right back onto the ridge. Higher we get to the transverse Poldanovska path and here we turn left (arrow on the tree). When already under the top of the ridge we get to a rocky tooth; the path is a little gentler to the ridge, where the footpath joins those from Lokev and Stanov rob. Here we continue on the footpath left to the very peak, where a breathtaking view opens up on Trebuša and surrounding hills all the way to the Julian Alps.
The path is marked with red circles. It is not recommended in winter and early spring time because of abundance of snow, which persists for a long time in those gullies. Interestingly routed path, which is maintained by the people of Trebuša.
