Poldanovec is located in Govci, on the northern edge of Trnovo plateau. Govci is steeply rising above the valley of Gorenja Trebuša. Poldanovec isn't the highest point, but it offers most beautiful view towards the north. It is surrounded by Mojski vrh, Veliki Bukovec and Veliki Češevik, and below it there is a hollow Mojske Drage.
