Gornji Senik / Felsőszölnök - Holzmannkogel (čez Janezov breg)

Access to starting point:
From the Kuzma - Gornji Petrovci road, at the settlement of Martinje we turn onto the road towards Hungary and continue driving towards the place Gornji Senik / Felsőszölnök. After a short descent we arrive in the mentioned place, where we park at the arranged parking lot near the church.

Route description:
From the parking lot we continue along the main road, where we first pass the church, the kindergarten and the store until the marked crossroads. Here we turn left in the direction of the viewpoint on Janezov breg, at the cultural house we turn left again in the direction of Tromejnik. The path then leads us past a smaller fire station, where we turn right in the direction of the hamlet Zgornji Janezov breg / Felsőszölnök-Jánoshegy (straight on the path leads to Tromejnik). In the continuation we pass some more houses, where the path begins to visibly ascend, and the asphalt ends even before the forest. We continue the ascent through the forest, first still past individual houses, then through dense forest on a poorer macadam road, which branches higher up.
While the left, somewhat poorer road leads to the hamlet Zgornji Janezov breg, we continue right and then at the cross immediately right again. Only a few dozen steps of walking follow and we arrive at the viewpoint tower on Janezov breg.
From the tower we return to the last marked junction, then we continue on the poorer road in the direction towards the west. Some more walking on the road without major ascents or descents follows. A few minutes further we arrive at the last hamlet, where we go right and then immediately left and follow the marked path, which after the last, completely abandoned house enters the dense forest. In the forest the path soon branches again, we choose the slightly right path, along which the green markings continue (left lead the red markings, the path leads to the western part of the village Gornji Senik). Through the forest we follow the markings, which lead us to the state border between Austria and Hungary, we follow the path to the lookout tower above Eisenberg.
From the tower we continue left in the direction of the tripoint (right Eisenberg an der Raab), where we continue the path on the poorer macadam road. This quickly turns into a cart track, which soon branches. We continue on the slightly left path, which on the left side bypasses the nearby apiary (the slightly right path mostly runs on the road), and continue along the state border between Austria and Hungary. Several shorter ascents and descents follow, and from the left the path from the Hungarian settlement Gornji Senik / Felsőszölnök joins us. We continue for some more time on a mostly forest path, then we reach a forest road, where we continue straight (left tripoint, right the road leads to the valley, sharp right we can return to the lookout tower).
The path further leads us on the macadam road, which ascends gently to moderately, a little further the road turns slightly to the right. At the part where the road turns to the right, a marked path branches to the left, which leads to Holzmannkogel, the branch itself is not marked and the path in the continuation is not traceable, but there are individual markings on the trees. We follow this off-trail marked path to the summit a few minutes away.
