Access to starting point:
From the Vipava highway, we take the Vipava exit. After leaving the highway, we continue on the old road towards Vipava. Before reaching the town, a marked road branches off to the right towards the village of Gradišče pri Vipavi. We then ascend through the village and follow the signs for Kamp Tura and Gradiška Tura. Once above the village, we reach the mentioned camp and a large parking area where we park.
Route description:
From the parking lot we head onto the path towards Gradiška Tura and Abram. At first the wide and gentle path quickly brings us to the first junction, where we continue straight (right to St. Miklavž). After a few more steps we reach a scree slope, which we cross transversely onto shrub-covered slopes. The path then becomes increasingly steep and soon leads us to a junction where the very difficult Furlanova path branches off to the left; we continue right on the normal, significantly easier but still partly demanding path. Just a few minutes further along this path we reach a point where the very difficult Otmarjeva ferrata branches off to the right; our path immediately after crosses a short but well-protected exposed ledge, after which we climb to the scenic Oltar. From Oltar we continue on a steep path that is in places protected by a cable or pitons. The steepness then gradually eases and the path leads us to a point where the climbing path joins again from the left. We continue on the path that occasionally still rises quite steeply over a short rock step. A little below the summit on a rock we notice an interesting verse, after which we reach the top of Gradiška Tura after a few steps.
From the summit we continue on the marked path towards Jež. The path turns into the forest, where except for a few initial steps it descends. After a few minutes of gentle descent we reach a junction, where we continue straight towards Abram (left Vipava). The path next leads us across a pleasant meadow surrounded by sparse forest. After the meadow we step onto a road, where we continue right, again towards Abram. We walk on the road only briefly to the first intersection, where we turn sharply left to a house visible on the left side. Here we leave the poorer road and continue right uphill on the marked path. After a few steps this brings us to a cart track, which we follow to the right. The path with a few short ascents and descents leads us to the next forest road, which we simply cross. A moderate ascent follows, first across a meadow, then through the forest to Furlanovo zavetišče pri Abramu.

The time 2:30 is meant one way, namely in the ascent direction. For descent, usually one third less time is used than for ascent. Stops are not included in the time.

zztop, I completely agree and I'm very surprised how they can allow such animal torture for quite a long series of years. And I'm even more surprised that no one cares about it ... I haven't been going to Abram for a long time, for one single reason - I can't bear the sight of that misery and the callous people who cause it.

This bear doesn't have it so bad as it seems at first glance. He's been in there since he was small and has no ambitions to escape. He moves around a bit, the cage isn't that small either. Inside he has a rocky double-walled shelter to retreat from bora wind and snow. He has plenty of food, and company from visitors so he's never bored. Of course in winter and spring he has quite a lot of peace because there are no tourists up there then. He's quite tame, calm, doesn't roar, so I think he feels pretty good there.

Kriška, I have to agree with you. I'm no longer tempted to go to Abram to see the apathetic sad bear. For me it's animal torture no matter how I try to explain it otherwise

A few years ago when I was there for the first time and they had a goat shed next to the cage. The bear literally tore them apart with his eyes. The goats were on the edge of a nervous breakdown.
Of course at Abram everything is connected to commerce, as it earns the most from overly loud Italians who are loud not only in the building but also around the garden. The bear is just an attraction for them and their children.
But since I go to the mountains for beauty and peace I usually head to Nanos from the Vipava side where there are beautiful flowering meadows, a magnificent view towards the Valley, it always blows but it's peaceful.

They "adopted" the bear when he was still small, because he was orphaned - if they hadn't, he wouldn't have survived.
If they sent him today "from the so-called torture chamber to freedom-nature", he wouldn't survive either.
Let everyone make their own judgments.
But I don't think it's nice to publicly condemn something without knowing the background. Since I know the Jež family well, I also don't think it's nice to criticize their good will and effort in this way.
If some volunteer steps forward to take the bear to nature and ensure his survival, then ... (I couldn't do it).

Igorf, I believe they "adopted" him as a cub and that now he wouldn't know how to survive in nature. Nevertheless, I haven't changed my opinion and still think that living in a cage is torture for a bear. Actually, it seems to me that it's even an illegal intervention to take a wild animal from nature and make a living exhibit out of it. Cases of found wild animal cubs can be resolved completely legally by leaving it to the competent services (if you don't know, there is also a temporary shelter for wild animals in Slovenia).

Suggestion for continuing the path to make a nice loop back to the starting point:
From Abram continue straight ahead towards dvorišča-past the beehive through the meadow that gently descends, at the edge of the meadow cross the pasture fence and along the path, in the same direction slightly to the left reach the road, cross it to the left and after a few steps to the right along the path a bit further reach the house, past it continue slightly to the left across meadows to the next road, in the same direction cross it continue along the cart track/path to Konja (small chapel) (Note: when in the forest we reach the highest point and descend gently towards Konja after about 10 meters the path forks: not straight along the wider track but along the path that forks left), descend to the valley to the next road which takes us right to the church of Sv. Miklavž and further to the starting point (all together about 5 hours of moderate walking). The first bear Mitko passed away; he was found in the village Vrhpolje near Vipava still very small. Given the situation and the decision of the hunting society Mitko went to Abram. This is the second bear and I think it was a stolen bear cub from the den come on guys please.

Those at Abram are quite arrogant. They really upset me last year when they didn't let me and my colleague sit at a long empty table just for a coffee, because they were waiting for "Italian" guests. So of course they won't see me anymore! They don't need me anyway! And I don't need them

Well, I don't know if it's really as bad as some write. I stopped there not long ago when crossing Nanos. It was midweek and consequently there was no one except me and three guests from central Slovenia. Yes, lately it's more like a tavern, but all those accessible by car are like that....
Otherwise, the attitude and service are quite fine, prices a bit less Certainly Europe and the state didn't give him everything, they had to grab it themselves and initially make quite a few sacrifices.

And don't forget that we're not talking about a regular tourist farm, because the shelter at Abram is listed among the mountain stations of the Alpine Association of Slovenia, as it's one of the transversal points and should thus have consideration for hikers, especially an attitude towards them when they arrive tired at the destination, not refusing them even a coffee break despite empty (but of course reserved) seats. If it's accidentally empty, as mirank writes, that's then a different story, which fits nicely with the Slovenian saying that in need even the devil eats flies. T PZS should also consider whether it's okay to give its transversal points to those catering facilities that look discriminatorily at hikers.

Miran all good. I didn't mean anything bad. But I know the situation more personally as I'm a local. And I've eaten at Abram 100 times. Personally I have nothing against them, plus the generation has changed and with that many things have also changed a bit which have arrived.
I haven't eaten or slept in our huts above 2000m, so judgment on food in our mountain huts is out.
But last time I treated myself to breakfast in a hut above 3500m: a slice of bread and a bit of jam 20eur.
