A) We drive to Črna na Koroškem, then follow the signs for Koprivna and Podpeca. For some time we drive along the Meža River, then from the crossroads we turn right towards Podpeca, Dom na Peci and Koča na Pikovem. In Podpeca the asphalt ends, and we follow the signs for Dom na Peci. Higher, at the saddle Vrh šteng, the road from Mežica also joins from the right, we still follow the signs for Dom na Peci, in some parts we also notice signs "avtocesta" (highway). We continue driving on a macadam road, at the last crossroads we follow the signs for the parking lot. We follow the mentioned road to its end, where we park at the Jakobe parking lot.
B) We drive to Luče (to here from Mozirje or from Kamnik over the mountain pass Volovljek (Kranjski Rak)), then we continue driving towards Logarska dolina. In the village Solčava we leave the main road towards Logarska dolina and continue driving right towards Podolševa, the mountain pass Spodnje Sleme and Črna na Koroškem. Further the road loses its asphalt covering, and after a few kilometres at the crossroads in Podolševa we turn right towards Črna na Koroškem. The road, which further mainly ascends transversely, brings us after some time to the mountain pass Spodnje Sleme. From the mountain pass the road starts to descend, and we follow it towards Črna na Koroškem. When after a few kilometres we descend into the valley, at the crossroads we turn right towards Črna na Koroškem (left Koprivna). On the main road we descend towards Črna na Koroškem, and the road first leads us past the turn-off into the Tople valley, a little lower also to the turn-off of the road towards Podpeca, Koča na Pikovem and Dom na Peci. We continue on the mentioned road, which quickly brings us to Podpeca.
C) We drive to Mežica, where we follow the signs for Peca. Further, we drive towards the border crossing Mežica, still before the border crossing we turn left onto the road towards Peca. Higher, at the saddle Vrh šteng, the road from Podpeca also joins from the left, and we follow the signs for Dom na Peci, in some parts we also notice signs "avtocesta" (highway). We continue driving on a macadam road, at the last crossroads we follow the signs for the parking lot. We follow the mentioned road to its end, where we park at the Jakobe parking lot.
Path description:
From the parking lot we follow the signs to Dom na Peci and continue uphill to the right on the cart track. After a short ascent we come to a junction, where we continue right and keep ascending on the cart track. The cart track then gradually becomes less steep and we soon leave it. The blazes direct us left onto a footpath, on which we ascend through the forest for some time. The path through the forest then brings us back to a narrower cart track, where we continue right and reach Dom na Peci in about 5 minutes of further walking.
From Dom na Peci we head onto the footpath towards Mala Peca or onto the path towards Kordeževa glava. After less than ten minutes of ascent the two paths merge, and we continue on the marked path, which ascends further up the meadow and brings us to a marked junction.
We take the right path in the direction of the demanding path (which it is not), left leads the very demanding path to Peca. The right path is easy and has no difficult spots! Our easier right path then soon brings us past a bench among the dwarf pines, through which we ascend. The ascent continues on a moderately steep slope with increasingly beautiful views. After some time the path brings us to a grassy plateau, where the climbing path joins from the left. There follows only the last ascent to the summit of Kordeževa glava, whose summit we reach after a few minutes of further walking on an undemanding slope.
From Kordeževa glava we continue on the marked path, which starts moderately descending towards Knipsovo sedlo. After approximately 20 minutes of descent we arrive at the information boards on the mentioned saddle, where the path from the Topla valley joins from the left.
We continue straight on the moderately steep path, to which a little higher joins the marked path from the ski area Peca / Petzen (ski slope on the Austrian side of the mountain). We continue the ascent on the panoramic slope, and the path brings us after a few minutes of further walking to the grass-covered Končnikov vrh.
