Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice highway we head to the Lipce exit (Jesenice east) and drive right towards Jesenice. At the first traffic-light intersection (Slovenski Javornik) we turn right in the direction of Lj. Next comes the second intersection with traffic lights, where we turn left and drive under the railway underpass, and in the next smaller intersection we head right towards Koroška Bela. We drive past the last bus stop (store on the left) in the village. We look for the intersection in the center of the village, where a church memorial stands. From here we go along the main road through the village, which leads uphill towards the north. After approx. 100 m, on the right we notice a bridge, but we drive straight for another 50 m, where we run into the left turn-off of the road. We go there, and in the uphill we cross one more (Koroška) street and continue uphill (church lower on the left) all the way to the spot outside the settlement, where we run into the abandoned tennis courts (RC Kres).
Path description:
At the first chestnut tree by the road (approx. 50 m from the settlement), on the right we notice a forest cart-track which heads back towards the east. We head onto it and walk a short time to the left fork, initially a path similar to the cart-track, which ascends steeply on the slope. Soon the path narrows into a footpath, which ascends in rare hairpin turns on the eastern slope of the hill. Soon we run into an improvised bench, and continue on the path towards the northeast. Higher, the path flattens a little, and after a while brings us to a fork, on which we turn left uphill along the slope (right path descends a little). After a few steps we arrive at a steep grassy slope on the left. Here we leave the path and head slightly left onto this quite steep grassy slope, where we first ascend for some 10 m, then cross the hill to the left onto the forested part, which we also cross all the way to the southern edge, from where we can look into the valley. Here we turn towards the summit on the right and ascend the steep ridge in a few minutes to the destination.
