Košnica - Veliki Slomnik

Access to starting point:
From Celje, we drive towards Zidani Most or vice versa. Soon after Celje, the road towards Košnica branches off to the right (from the direction of Zidani Most, a little before Celje, to the left). We follow the road, which is mostly ascending, to a smaller saddle, where we park somewhere by the road in such a way that we don't hinder the traffic (on the saddle there is also a smaller crossroads and signposts).

Route description:
From the crossroad, we continue in the direction of Slomnik, on the road which gently ascends towards the south. The road on which we walk soon (at the last house) changes into a cart track which crosses the meadow, and the cart track turns slightly left and goes into the forest. After a few minutes of walking on the cart track, a sign for Slomnik points us right upwards on a footpath which starts ascending steeper. The path which further all the time runs through the forest brings us higher on an indistinct ridge, where there is a smaller junction. We continue right, on a moderately steep ridge path, which without any bigger problems quickly brings us on a vegetated peak.
