Krvavi kamen - Trdinov vrh

Access to starting point:
From Novo mesto or Otočec we drive to the village of Velike Brusnice. We continue on the road towards the village of Gabrje. When the road almost brings us to the village, we come to a crossroads where we continue left (right Gabrje center). The road then takes us past the church further towards Gorjanci. We follow the road to the crossroads where the road branches off to the left to Miklavž, to the right to Gospodična and straight ahead is the border forest road. Near this crossroads we park in the parking lot by the road.
From Metlika we drive towards Novo mesto, but only to the Vahta pass. Here we turn right and follow the forest road for about 11 km to the crossroads where the road branches off to the left down to Gabrje, straight to Miklavž and to the right to the border forest road. Near this crossroads we park in the parking lot by the road.

Route description:
From the parking lot we continue on the road towards Trdinov vrh. After a few dozen meters of walking, a footpath branches off to the right (in front of the hut visible by the road) across the meadow into the forest. The path is initially gentle but soon begins to ascend moderately. After a few minutes of walking we join the path coming from Sveti Miklavž. The path then ascends for some time along a cart track which soon turns into a footpath. This begins to ascend more steeply through the primeval forest of Gorjanci. Further on the path leads us out of the forest onto a forest road along which is the state border. We continue straight past the transmitter and past the chapel to the summit where we notice the viewpoint plaque.
