Lake Negova - Negova Castle

Access to starting point:
We leave the Pomurska highway at the exit Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici, and then we follow the road towards Radenci. Soon after we leave the highway, we go left towards Negova and also in the next crossroads we follow the road towards Negova and Negova Castle. We leave the road towards Negova at the spot where signs for Ivanjski Vrh and Negovsko jezero point us to the left onto a side road which descends a little. When we get to the settlement Ivanjski Vrh we go right towards the lake, by which we park at an appropriate place, only a few meters away from the marked path.

Path description:
From the starting point, we head onto the macadam road in the direction of Negova and Svetih treh Kraljev. At first we walk through the forest, where the path leads us a little south of the lake, for a view of the lake we must take a few steps off the path. After a few minutes, the road brings us out of the forest and turns into a cart track which begins to ascend gradually. The path continues to lead us between meadows and fields, higher up it brings us to the settlement Kunova, where we step onto the asphalt road. We follow the road to the right, at the nearby crossroad we go left. A little further, the road descends slightly and brings us to the next crossroad, where the blazes direct us right, and we leave the asphalt road some 10 steps further, where the signpost of the Pomurska mountain trail directs us left downhill onto a macadam road. There follows a steeper descent through the forest, when the forest ends the path also levels out. Along the level path we go to the other side of the meadow, where from the crossroad we go right. We continue along the edge of the forest, higher through a strip of forest, after which we reach the road to Negova.
The road which we reach at the chapel we follow to the left, which quickly brings us to the place where on the left side, some 10 steps from the asphalt road, we notice the Hunting Cottage LD Negova.
From the hunting cottage we continue along the asphalt road, which past individual houses, a chapel and the fire station brings us to the crossroad below the church in Negova. Here we continue slightly left and in a few steps we arrive at the church in Negova, while Negova Castle is located a further some 10 steps to the right.
