Access to starting point:
a) From the Ljubljana - Jesenice motorway take the Kranj - east exit, then continue driving towards Jezersko. When we arrive in Preddvor leave the main road and continue left towards the centre of the mentioned place, from there follow the signs to the Bašelj settlement. When we arrive in Bašelj at the beginning of the left bend a narrower road continues straight ahead leading to the parking lot at the TD Bašelj log cabin (in descriptions starting point Bašelj), we however from the mentioned intersection continue along the main road for another good 100 m to the next intersection, where we continue right along the road towards Gamsov raj and the Laško hamlet. Just about 50 m further continue along the left road, which gradually begins to ascend moderately. At the Laško hamlet continue left again, then the asphalt ends and we continue driving along the steep gravel road, which we follow to the parking lot, next to a small intersection. Red hiking direction signs are located at the intersection.
b) From the Jesenice - Ljubljana motorway take the Kranj - west exit and at the first intersection continue left. We then drive through the underpass under the motorway, then arrive at a roundabout, from which we continue driving towards Golnik. The route ahead leads us through the Mlaka pri Kranju settlement, we however at the end of the settlement continue right towards the Srakovlje settlement. Driving continues through Srakovlje, Spodnja Bela, Srednja Bela, Zgornja Bela (in Zgornja Bela we join the road from Preddvor) to Bašelj, where the main road makes a long left bend, where a narrower road continues straight ahead leading to the parking lot at the TD Bašelj log cabin (in descriptions starting point Bašelj), we however from the mentioned intersection continue along the main road for another good 100 m to the next intersection, where we continue right along the road towards Gamsov raj and the Laško hamlet.
Route description:
From the parking lot and intersection continue along the worse and steeper left road in the direction of sv. Lovrenc and Dom pod Sv. Lovrencem (straight to Kališče and Storžič, to Storžič and Kališče it is also possible by continuing left). From the intersection onwards we ascend relatively steeply, during the ascent a marked footpath branches off to the right leading directly to the church of sv. Lovrenc and bypassing Dom pod Lovrencem. All the time continue along the road, from which higher up some views open up temporarily. When the road turns sharply right after some time, it brings us in a few steps to the already mentioned Dom pod Lovrencem.
From the hut continue in the direction of Javornik, Velika and Mala Poljana, Kališče and Storžič along the path that ascends moderately through the forest. The well-trodden path quickly takes us out of the forest onto a vast hay meadow, across which we walk with beautiful views to the church of sv. Lovrenc.
Starting point - Dom na Lovrencu 0:15, Dom na Lovrencu - sv. Lovrenc 0:05.

Yesterday morning I took a walk to Lovrenc with my son. It was a wonderful autumn morning, full of beautiful autumn colors and quite warm autumn sun. It would be a shame to go by road, when the leaves rustle pleasantly underfoot. Below the summit is a pleasant hut, smoke coming from the chimney. At the top, a beautiful little church with a magnificent view of the valley. Really a beautiful walk suitable for any time of day, even with small children.

Hi, I also headed to Sveti Lovrenc today. The path was snowy and icy in some sections, so poles were very welcome. The path itself is nice and suitable for all generations. It would be nice if hut descriptions included opening and closing times, as the hut was closed during my visit. The view of the valley and surroundings is beautiful and wonderful. Maybe I'll come again sometime.
