Lenart v Slovenskih goricah - Sveti Rupert (Spodnja Voličina)

Access to starting point:
Leave the Pomurska motorway at the Lenart v Slov. goricah exit if coming from the direction of Maribor, or at the Sv. Trojica v Slov. goricah exit if coming from the direction of Murska Sobota, then drive to the centre of Lenart, where we park at one of the parking lots.
The start of the described path is next to the parish church of St. Lenart on Trg osvoboditve.

Path description:
From Trg osvoboditve we head onto the path towards Zavrha, first walking along the sidewalk, then from the main road right downhill, still walking on the sidewalk.
A little lower where the road turns right it forks.
We continue along the right road where the markings continue (straight ahead the path leads to Zavrh, marked with local signs - path to Zavrh). Some more descent follows, then we cross the Globovnica stream, after which we climb to the overpass over the motorway. From the overpass a short descent follows, then we turn right onto the narrower asphalt path, at the nearby junction turning right again. When we arrive in the settlement Lormanje we turn left at the chapel, passing by a few houses, behind the houses continuing the path on a cart track leading us between fields. When we reach the asphalt road we go left, after crossing the Pesnica river we go right. After the bridge the road begins to climb and higher up it brings us to the settlement Zgornja Voličina, where we go left, turning left again at the chapel. Some descent follows along with a shorter gentle ascent, then we start descending towards the settlement Spodnja Voličina, reaching it at the cemetery.
At the end of the cemetery we go right, shortly afterwards arriving at the centre of the settlement Spodnja Voličina, where the church of St. Rupert, NOB monument, restaurant, primary school, kindergarten... are located.
