Path description:
From the fire station we first ascend to the parish church of St. Martin, which is located in the northwestern part of Libeliče. Before the church, in the area where the 11th-century ossuary is located, before the wall on the left we notice a beaten path, along which we ascend diagonally into the forest.
During the ascent through the forest, we are initially accompanied by the signs of the nearby path Etnološko naravoslovne znamenitosti Libelič, which we follow in the opposite direction, so the numbers on the signs decrease. Through the forest we mostly ascend along forest tracks, higher up along the tepk avenue we ascend to the homestead, where there is a viewpoint.
We continue across the yard; from the junction behind the homestead we continue along the right road, which leads us past a sign. A diagonal ascent follows with beautiful views reaching from Golica / Koralpe across Košenjak to Pohorje, then the cart track takes us into the forest, where we reach a macadam road. We follow the road to the right, after the left serpentine we leave it and continue slightly right onto a cart track that brings us past the hunting observatory to a larger clearing. On the other side of the clearing we return to the forest, and the path diagonally brings us to the state border with Austria. Along the state border we ascend to the point where the state border turns sharply right, while we ascend along the path running across the hay meadow to the next homestead, which we bypass on the left side and at which, at the next sign, we cross another road. With beautiful views we ascend to the forest. In the forest the cart track forks, and we choose the left, gentler cart track, which continues with a gentle ascent crossing the eastern slopes of Požegov vrh. During the crossing the path leads us past an older cross and across a small spring, then we soon reach the macadam road at the junction to the Jorgač farm.
We follow the road to the right, along it we ascend diagonally to a somewhat larger junction at the NOB monument, where we continue sharply right towards Strojna. The path ahead takes us out of the forest and continues with beautiful views of Uršlja gora and other surrounding peaks. Higher we also pass the Požeg farm or Kupnik estate, after a few more minutes of walking we arrive at the Janež farm, which is an exceptional example of vernacular architecture from the 17th century.
At the farm, where a black kitchen is well preserved, we continue slightly right onto the cart track that ascends diagonally above the road (straight along the road: church of St. Urh). Higher the path leads us through a strip of forest; when the forest ends we quickly walk to the nearby Pokeržnikov vrh, from which a beautiful view opens up.
