Mala Lazna - Mali Golak

Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Lokve (to here from Nova Gorica or Most na Soči), then we continue driving in the direction of Predmeja. When we come to a larger meadow, where at the crossroads we notice numerous signposts, we are at Mala Lazna.
Access from Predmeja is also possible.

Route description:
From Mala Lazna we head onto the forest road in the direction of Velike ledene jame v Paradani. The road quickly goes into the forest, where it then continues with some shorter ascents and descents. After approximately 15 minutes the road brings us to a junction, where the marked path branches off to the right towards Iztokova koča.
At the junction we continue right downwards where the signposts »Golaki, Iztokova koča 30min« direct us, and to the left the road leads forward towards Velike ledene jame v Paradani.
Further on we always walk on a cart track through the forest and mostly slightly ascend. Later the cart track becomes somewhat narrower and then brings us again to a macadam road near the junction of several paths. At the junction the signposts direct us onto a footpath through the forest, which brings us to the hut in 5 minutes.
From the hut we continue slightly right (direction Golaki) on the path that returns into dense forest. The path ahead for a short time gently, then increasingly steeply ascends, mostly on the western to southwestern slopes of Mali Golak. After approximately half an hour of walking from Iztokova koča the path flattens and brings us to a forest-covered ridge, from which despite the vegetation a nice view opens up. We continue on the mentioned ridge, where in less than 10 minutes of further walking we step onto the summit of Mali Golak.
