Phliški bajer - Mengeška koča on Gobavica (lower path)

Access to starting point:
A) We leave the Gorenjska motorway at the Vodice exit, then continue driving towards Kamnik, then in Vodice turn slightly right towards the settlement Bukovica. We then drive on the road towards Mengeš to the crossroads at the end of the settlement Koseze, where at the bus stop we turn right towards Šinkov Turn and Rašica. Some 10 meters further we leave the asphalt road and continue left on the macadam road towards Rašica and Mengeška koča mountain hut. When we turn off the main road we park in a suitable place by the road, or even a little further by Phliški or Koseški bajer.
B) We drive to Mengeš, then from the main crossroads in the centre of Mengeš we continue driving towards Kranj. A little further from the main road we turn slightly left onto the road towards Vodice. At the start of the settlement Koseze we reach a crossroads, where at the bus stop we turn left towards Šinkov Turn and Rašica. Some 10 meters further we leave the asphalt road and continue left on the macadam road towards Rašica and Mengeška koča mountain hut. When we turn off the main road we park in a suitable place by the road, or even a little further by Phliški or Koseški bajer.

Path description:
From the starting point we continue in the direction of Rašica, Dobeno and Mengeška koča mountain hut, then before Phliški or Koseški bajer we turn right. We continue along the bajer, when the western "shore" ends we continue left, for some time still along the bajer, then sharply right onto a cart track that ascends diagonally up the slope. The marked path soon turns back to the left, and at junctions we follow the marked path, a little further along it we reach a marked junction.
From the junction we continue in the direction of the lower path to Mengeška koča mountain hut (slightly left ridge path to Mengeška koča mountain hut, right ridge path to Rašica), where we walk a few more steps along the cart track, then the blazes direct us left onto a forest path. There follows walking with some shorter descents and ascents, where at junctions we follow the blazes. After a few minutes we reach the next junction, where we again choose the lower path. Further on we approach very close to the macadam road, but the blazes lead us left across a shorter somewhat overgrown section, then we reach the next junction where we join the ridge path.
We continue right along the cart track in the direction of Mengeška koča mountain hut, and the path takes us out of the forest onto a hay meadow along which we walk to the nearby hayrack. At the hayrack we go left and past the bench ascend into the forest. Through the forest we ascend more steeply for a while, then across a short panoramic section from which the view extends all the way to the Alps, we quickly reach Mengeška koča on Gobavica.
