Access to starting point:
Take the cable car to Vogel and then set off on the nice and interesting path through Globoko to the mountain hut on Planina Razor. Walking takes approximately 3 hours. We can also see super firing lines and weapons storage along the path, a little from Globoko downwards towards Planina Razor. At the mountain hut on Planina Razor we then spend the night.
Route description:
The path is very interesting, and if we catch nice weather then it is super. From many points we can, of course with good visibility, see the Adriatic Sea. When we go from Planina Razor we first ascend to the mountain Vogel 1922 m, about an hour and a half and we are at the top. Triglav can be seen very nicely. Then we go about 2 hours to the highest point of this path 1966 m - Rodica. Very visited mountain. Then mostly along the ridge another about 3 hours to Črna prst. Lake Bohinj can be seen very nicely.

For us from Baška grapa this ridge crossing is "anyway" the nicest, and if there's sun too, it's pure poetry!

This weekend we did this trail (Črna prst (sleep), next day Rodica, Vogel, Pl. Razor and Kuk). The trail is really wonderful and I recommend it.

matdra, I'm interested in approximately how far it is to Vogel from Črna prst, and where is the shortest way onwards to Komna. Thanks

@mclow, from Črna prst to Rodica is (about) two hours and from Rodica to Vogel another (about) three hours walk. From Vogel via Konjsko sedlo and Planina Za Migovcem it's another (about) five hours walk. So, it's quite a full day of intensive and pretty "lively" hiking...

Could someone who has already hiked this trail please say why it says for this trail: "partially demanding marked trail"? On Google Maps I checked all possible photos from this area, but didn't notice any climbing sections. Maybe because the slopes are steeper on both sides in places? I also have a GPS trace, where no steeper ascents are visible either. I would go on this trail on June 25. I assume there won't be snow anymore then.

We went on this same path a few years ago, daughter was a teenager, today she's a mom, in short, the path is long, completely exposed to the sun, demanding but not in my opinion, and we weren't in any particularly good hiking form then, we just ran out of drinks and good spirits, because we weren't prepared for 7 hours, but I really want to go again, in short, no problems with good preparation and smart hydration, and protect yourself from the sun.

Thank you very much for the information. Longer distance is no problem for me, because since autumn I practically every weekend hike distances between 20-30 km in the hills. Additionally during the week shorter distances up to 14 km and not so high. Last month I did a total of 271 km in the hills. I was more worried that there would be a lot of climbing, which I'm not very good at.

As Tadej says, the path is exposed in some places. Where there is the cable, it's OK. Unfortunately, that's only just below Črna prst, where it's no longer so bad. The worst is across steep grass below Četrti (between Črna Prst, Vrata saddle and Konjski vrh), especially if wet. Another critical point is between Suha Rodica and Rodica, where there is a short section across steep, exposed terrain without any protections. The path towards Vogel has been well secured in recent years and is really easy (unless there is some snowfield below the summit). photo record Rodica-Črna prst: http://www.hribi.net/trenutnerazmere.asp?slo=1&gorovjeid=1&id=1050&stran=2 Vogel-Šija-Rodica: http://www.hribi.net/trenutnerazmere.asp?slo=1&gorovjeid=1&id=5349&stran=1 Otherwise, I haven't hiked the path from Črna Prst to Pl. Razor in one go. I mostly dawdle along the path and enjoy the flowers and views, rather than completing the feat without sleeping in one of the huts. The path is beautiful and worth savoring every step. Counting km and measuring time reduces even the most wonderful hike to a mere sports achievement and thus deprives us of all the good we can draw from nature.

I hiked the trail from Planina Razor to Črna prst a few years ago. I think you need to count about 7 hours and take enough drinks, protect yourself from the sun - as already written. Above all, it's a very exposed ridge, so we set out on this trail only if the weather forecast is really certain that there will be no thunderstorms! The views are beautiful...

I finally walked this path and it's not problematic at all. Apart from the length, it could be marked as easy. I did a circular route. I left the car in Ribčev laz by Lake Bohinj. If you pay for 8 hours of parking, it's valid for the whole day. Then I went to Črna prst and from there along the ridge past Rodica, Vogel to Komna. From Komna I went back down to Savica the same evening and then along the lake back to the car in Ribčev laz. These times are quite misleading. Especially according to the mountain signs. I usually take about half, for longer routes two thirds of what is written.
