Črna prst

Description of mountain:
On the northern slope of the summit ridge of Črna prst, black soil is visible – the feature after which the mountain is named. Črna prst is renowned for its rich flora, particularly on its southern slopes but also on the northern ones. The summit lies in the Lower Bohinj Mountains above Bohinjska Bistrica. Just a few metres below the summit stands the Dom Zorka Jelinčiča mountain hut, open during the summer season. When the hut is closed, a modest bivouac provides emergency shelter.
