Plave - Sveti Kvirin in Paljevo (by road)

Access to starting point:
A) First, we drive to Nova Gorica, and then we continue driving in the direction of Bovec and Tolmin. We then drive through the valley of the Soča on the main road to the settlement of Plave, where, at the crossroad where the road to Paljevo branches off to the right, the described path begins. Because at the starting point there are no arranged parking spots, we have to park somewhere else, best at some appropriate place by the road before or after the settlement, or on the other side of the river Soča near the little church or somewhere on the periphery of the village.
B) We drive to the settlement of Most na Soči, and from there we drive towards Nova Gorica. When we arrive at the settlement of Plave, or to the crossroad where the road towards the settlement of Paljevo branches off to the left, we are at the beginning of the described path. Because at the starting point there are no arranged parking spots, we have to park somewhere else, best at some appropriate place by the road before or after the settlement, or on the other side of the river Soča near the little church or somewhere on the periphery of the village.

Path description:
From the settlement of Plave we continue on the asphalt road in the direction of Paljevo. The path first leads past a few houses, then quickly brings us to the left hairpin turn, where on a smaller building there is a NOB marker. We continue on the quite panoramic road, which past the bench brings us to the right hairpin turn, where straight ahead continues the footpath to Prižnica (elevation 383), and we continue right, further on the road. Further on, we cross the slopes to the right for some time, then, a little after crossing the torrent stream in the hairpin turn, the road turns sharply left. From the road along which we continue walking, a nice view opens towards Korada and Prižnica. When the road from the slopes almost transitions to more level terrain, on the right side we notice a cart track and beside it unofficial signs for Kuk.
Here the first path to Kuk branches off to the right, and we continue on the road, along which we soon arrive at a few houses in the settlement of Paljevo. We continue on the asphalt road, which crosses a strip of forest, and then, when the forest ends, before the power line route the second path to Kuk branches off to the right (also the path to Vodice and Sveta Gora).
We continue on the asphalt road, along which we quickly arrive at the next hamlet, where we notice signs for Sveta Gora which point to the right, and we continue left on the road which leads towards the hunting cottage and the church of St. Kvirin. At the next crossroad, a few minutes higher, we go slightly left (right: hunting cottage LD Anhovo on Paljevo) on the road which loses its asphalt surface. The road continues through the forest, where from the right the path from Deskle also joins, and after a minute or two of further walking we arrive at the church of St. Kvirin.
