Prtovč - Kosmati vrh (Ratitovec) (via Jesenovec and planina Klom)

Access to starting point:
A) First, we drive to Škofja Loka, then continue driving towards Železniki. When we arrive in Železniki, first at the intersection where the road towards Kropa, Dražgoše and Rudno branches off to the right, we continue straight, then a little after the Mercator store, or opposite the company Niko d.o.o., we continue right in the direction of Podlonka and Prtovča. We continue on the mentioned road, which starts to ascend more steeply, and we follow the asphalt road entirely to the parking lot at Prtovč, which is located near the church of Marija Pomočnica.
B) From Cerkno, Podbrdo or Sorica we drive to Zali Log, then continue driving towards Škofja Loka. When we arrive in Železniki we leave the main road and continue driving left in the direction of Podlonka and Prtovča. We continue on the mentioned road, which starts to ascend more steeply, and we follow the asphalt road entirely to the parking lot at Prtovč, which is located near the church of Marija Pomočnica.

Path description:
From the starting point, we walk to the nearby NOB monument, which is located at the beginning of the village Prtovč, and from the mentioned intersection we continue on the right road in the direction of the hunting lodge Na Toli. The path first leads along a panoramic road, from which a nice view opens towards Dražgoše and surrounding hills, then passes into the forest, through which it ascends transversely. Soon a short road branches off to the right to the aforementioned hunting lodge, and we continue straight and further continue the path in transverse ascent to the right. Higher up, or after approximately 45 minutes of walking from the starting point, we arrive at the ridge, where beside the road we notice a small marker, and to the right a little view opens towards Železniki. Here the road stops ascending, and we reach the marked path Raztovka - Ratitovec, which we follow left into the forest. After a short ascent we reach the cart track, along it we quickly arrive at the marked junction, where we continue slightly right (slightly left Kosmati vrh). After the junction we step out of the dense forest, then ascend across the pasture to the forest road, which we reach only a few steps further from the wildlife feeding station. We follow the road left, at the nearby intersection we go right. Further on we follow the marked path, which for some time continues along the road, for some time leads us on marked shortcuts. Higher we leave the road, at a few junctions we follow the signs for Ratitovec or planina Klom. When the path higher up levels out, only a short descent awaits us to the shepherd's hut on planina Klom.
From the shepherd's hut we continue left and moderately ascend through a strip of forest, when the forest ends we step onto the cart track, which we follow right, along it we walk to the nearby forest road.
When we reach the road, we just cross it (right planina Pečana, Gladki vrh, Krekova koča...), then continue left in the direction of Kosmati vrh, where we walk along the pasture fence, initially parallel to the road. Further there is no distinct path, but if we follow along the pasture fence, we can here and there notice some old faded marking. A little further we withdraw slightly right from the fence, where the path becomes more distinct, somewhat higher we join the path from Vratc towards Kosmati vrh.
Here we continue left and in a few minutes with ever better views we ascend to Kosmati vrh.
