Access to starting point:
We drive to Rogaška Slatina and then park at the parking lot by the railway station.
The starting point can also be reached by train.
Path description:
At the starting point there are red mountaineering direction signs, we follow the markings for Sveta Ema, where we first carefully cross the main road, then continue in the same direction and proceed along the footpath that leads past a mighty tree and along the left side of older buildings. Behind the houses we reach the next road, cross it and continue westwards, soon the marked path forks.
We continue left (straight to Mestinje) and begin to ascend more steeply, at the nearby intersection we go right and ascend even more steeply. A climb follows via the right serpentine, higher up we go left, a little higher in front of the nearby house we arrive at an interesting chapel. Behind the chapel we leave the forest, the path leads past some houses, then with beautiful views we ascend to the stamp box for Prnek.
We bypass the transmitters on the left side and continue the ascent along a less visible trail that leads across the grassy slope, a bit further we bypass some houses on the right side, behind them we reach another road.
A few smaller intersections follow, where we keep slightly left, and then in a few minutes we descend to the church of St. Trojica.
We bypass the church on the right side, from the intersection behind the church we go right, then immediately left following the signs for Brestovec, Kamence, Nimno and Vinec, continuing to follow the markings.
Further on there are several ascents and descents and intersections where we follow the markings, the road leads us through villages with occasional beautiful views.
We follow the marked path to the intersection in the settlement Vidovica, where the signs for the church of St. Vid and the church of St. Areha point left, steeply upwards, the signs for the church of St. Ema point right, slightly downwards.
We continue towards the church of St. Ema, where we first descend a little, then past individual houses we begin to ascend towards the church of St. Ema, which we reach after approximately 15 minutes of walking from the intersection below the church of St. Vid.
