Drive on the highway to the exit for Tolmezzo, then to Villa Santina and Ovaro. After Ovaro turn left to the valley Val Pesarina a little before Comeglians. At the end of Val Pesarina keep right, i.e. direction for Lozzo di Cadore, but only until the mountain pass Sella di Razzo.
Sella di Razzo can be reached also via Sauris (in Villa Santina turn left for Ampezzo, in Ampezzo follow the signs for Sauris, and then for Sella di Razzo).
From the Dolomites side drive to Lozzo di Cadore, and there turn in the direction to Sella di Razzo.
Path description:
Take a 4 km long stroll along a descending mountain road to Casera Chiansaveit. The road is paved with concrete only at some steeper parts. You will pass several mountain streams, and at least three locations with bee hives.
Just before Casera Chiansaveit turn right and follow the path no. 210. Look for an orientation point - a huge rock just below the forest. Pass left by the rock and follow the trail into the forest. At an unmarked section follow a trail that branches off to the left. The trail can be slippery when wet. Larch trees block the view at first, but with height the views open up as the trail leads you among flowering globeflowers (June / July) and occasional dwarf mountain pines to the grassy ridge (in the vicinity of the saddle Forcella Chiansaveit, 2018 m). Turn left and follow the ridge to the mountain slopes, where the trail covered with scree leads to the summit.
