Šober (Spodnji Rušnik) - Možičev vrh (via Žavcarjev vrh)

Access to starting point:
From the road Maribor - Dravograd, in the settlement Bresternica (on some maps Brestrnica) we will notice signs for the settlement Gaj, which point us to the right (from the direction Dravograd left). After a few meters, at a poorly marked crossroad, we continue left and follow the road which leads us through the settlement to the chapel, where we continue left. A mostly ascending road brings us higher to a crossroad by which we notice mountain signposts for Tojzlov vrh. Here, we continue left and follow the road for approximately 1 km to the next mountain signposts (this time for Žavcarjev vrh) by which we park on one of the smaller parking lots by the road.

Route description:
The described route is also no longer officially marked in the lower part.

From the starting point we head onto the gravel road towards Žavcarjev vrh. The road initially leads along the stream, then turns right and ascends more steeply. We follow this road, which mainly runs through the forest, to a small hamlet where it turns into a wide cart track. We continue the ascent along the mentioned cart track, which higher up leads us past a homestead and then brings us to a forest road, which we simply cross.
We continue the ascent along the cart track that ascends transversely through the forest, but we follow it only to the point where the markings direct us right onto a footpath.
Higher up the path widens into a cart track and later into a road, which we quickly leave as the markings again lead us onto a footpath. Higher up the path joins a road, along which we continue the ascent for the next few minutes.
Soon we will notice the next signs for Žavcarjev vrh, which direct us onto a cart track, along which we ascend to the mountain hut in a few minutes.
We bypass the hut on the left side, at the chapel we go straight into the forest onto the path towards Žavcarjev vrh, where we walk along a well-trodden path through the forest. After a few minutes of ascent we turn onto a slightly left cart track, along which we quickly reach the 915 m high peak.
We bypass the registration box on the left side, then begin to descend through the forest along an unmarked trail. Lower down we join a cart track, which we follow straight. A little further the path stops descending, at the junction of cart tracks we turn onto the one that begins to ascend again. During the ascent we keep to the left directions, so that we reach the indistinct peak along the likewise indistinct eastern ridge.
