Stara Fužina - Koča na Uskovnici (via Voje)

Access to starting point:
We drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, then continue driving in the direction of Lake Bohinj. In Ribčev Laz, from the intersection at the beginning of Lake Bohinj, we continue right in the direction of Srednja vas, Studor, and Stara Fužina. The road then leads us over a bridge and past the church of St. John the Baptist; a few hundred meters further, we already arrive in Stara Fužina. In Stara Fužina, we first drive past Pension Lipa, the Triglav apartments, the bus station, the Mercator store, then arrive at an intersection by a chapel, where we continue on the left road in the direction of the parking lot, Korita Mostnice, Hudičev most, and mountain paths to Planina Blato and Vogar, and the path into the Voje Valley. From the intersection, some ascent follows; when the settlement ends, we arrive at the paid parking lot, where we park.

Path description:
At the beginning of the parking lot, the signs for the Korita and Slap Mostnice point us right onto a wide path, along which we arrive at Hudičev most in a few minutes. We continue straight ahead (right over the Uskovnica bridge via Planina Blatce and back to Stara Fužina); a little further on, at the information board for Korita Mostnice, we go slightly right. At the next junction, we go slightly right again (left to Vogar, also possible to Voje), then arrive at the place where the fee for maintaining the path through Korita Mostnice is collected (entrance fee for adults was in June 2018, 3 euros).
At the mentioned spot, the path splits, and we choose left or right. Both paths continue near the gorges (along the right path there is a turn-off to see the little elephant); later they merge into one path, along which we ascend to a macadam road. We follow the road to the right, along which we soon arrive at the Planinska koča na Vojah.
We continue along the road, which runs through the Voje Valley, keeping to the signs for Slap Mostnice. A little further on, the road splits, and we choose the right path towards Uskovnica, Slap Mostnice, and the Slap refreshment hut (left to Triglav, Velo polje, and also Slap Mostnice).
The path ahead leads us across a footbridge and past a signpost, then we arrive in the upper part of the Voje Valley, where the path leads across meadows and past a few huts. The valley then begins to narrow, and the path takes us to the Slap Voje refreshment hut, from where we continue straight towards the waterfall. A few steps further, another path leading to the waterfall joins us from the left, and we continue straight to the next junction.
This time we continue right towards Uskovnica (straight to Slap Mostnice 3 minutes) and begin to ascend through the forest on a path that becomes steeper and steeper, mostly traversing to the right. Higher up, we cross a somewhat larger torrent, and the gradient gradually eases. When we step out of the forest a little further on, we bypass the first hut on Uskovnica along its lower side; the path then returns to the forest, through which it gently ascends to the right for a while. We then reach a macadam road, along which the huts on Uskovnica become more frequent, and at the junctions we follow the waymarks or signs for Koča na Uskovnici. With fine views of the Julian Alps, then a few short ascents and descents, and a few more junctions, we reach Koča na Uskovnici.
