Tinčkova koča - Zabreška planina

Access to starting point:
From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lesce and follow the road ahead in the direction of Žirovnica and Jesenice. After a few km of driving, we will get to a crossroad, where the road to Žirovnica and Moste branches off to the right (from the direction of Jesenice left). Only a few meters ahead in the next crossroad, we turn left to Moste (right Žirovnica). Further, we drive past a monument to fallen soldiers, where the road starts ascending a hill below the railway track. On top of the slope, we turn right (at the sign Vila Karin), we continue driving towards Završniško jezero and Valvasorjev dom. The road then flattens and brings us to a crossroad, where the road towards the mountain hut Valvasorjev dom branches off to the left, and we continue straight on the at first still asphalt road. The road soon becomes macadam, and we follow it to a parking lot near the mountain hut Tinčkova koča. The road in the upper part is often in quite bad condition.

Route description:
At the beginning of the parking lot blazes point us to the left into the forest. After a few meters, we come to a crossing where the unmarked path to Stol branches off to the right (via Zagon). We continue left on a marked path and further mostly in a gentle ascent through the forest cross pretty steep slopes, which in snow can be very dangerous for slipping. Later, the path brings us to a cart track where we continue left. After a short descent on a cart track we come again to a crossing where blazes from the cart track point us to the right into the forest. The slope further is no longer that steep and there follow a few shorter ascents and descents. The path then turns a little to the right and a few times crosses forest cart tracks. Such a path then brings us out of the forest where we join a wide cart track. Signposts direct us onto the cart track along which we soon reach the mountain pasture Zabreška planina.
