From the Maribor - Dravograd road in the settlement Vas we turn right (from the direction of Dravograd left) in the direction towards Remšnik. Further on, we drive along the Ehartov potok stream to the sports field, next to which we park on the asphalt parking lot on the right side of the road.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the asphalt road ahead, where we bypass the snack bar Erjavec on the right side, and a little ahead we go past the chapel as well. A few minutes higher the road splits, and we continue on the main right road, which continues along the stream. Further on, we go past occasional houses; a little after the turn-off of the road to the left towards the beekeeping Krecenbaher, the road turns right and moves away from the stream. There follows a traverse, and when we leave the forest, a nice view opens up that reaches all the way to the Karawanks, where we see Uršlja gora and Peca.
Higher, the road flattens, and we continue left on the main road, which descends slightly. The path ahead leads us along a fairly panoramic road, from which we occasionally already see the church of St. Jurij on Remšnik. Such a path then leads us through another hamlet, after which there follows a shorter traverse to the right. When the traverse ends, we reach a marked path, which we follow to the right (left to Kapunar and St. Pankracij). There follows a really short descent past the chapel, and we arrive at an intersection, where we continue straight ahead (left leads the road towards the settlement Brezno).
There follows a shorter ascent, and past POŠ Remšnik we reach the church of St. Jurij.
Description and pictures refer to the condition in April 2022.
