Access to starting point:
a) From the Ljubljana - Maribor highway, take the Žalec exit, then continue driving in the direction of Velenje.
In Velenje at the second (main) roundabout, below the ski jump, continue straight (2nd exit) in the direction of Šoštanj - Mozirje.
At the traffic-light intersection, turn left and then immediately right onto the parking lot (parking is free).
b) From the Koroška direction, drive through Slovenj Gradec towards Velenje. In Velenje at the first (main) roundabout, below the ski jump,
continue right (1st exit) in the direction of Šoštanj - Mozirje.
At the traffic-light intersection, turn left and then immediately right onto the parking lot (parking is free).
Path description:
We go to the end of the parking lot in the western direction, where on the left side we notice the beginning of a steep path into the forest.
The steepness at the beginning quickly decreases and we walk on a well-beaten forest path along the slope of Gradišče.
The path is well marked. On some parts, the path splits and rejoins higher up.
When we come out of the forest, we notice the church of St. James. We follow the asphalt road to the little church, where we continue left on a wide forest path.
At the forks, we always follow the paths upwards. From the church to the top there is approximately 400 meters.
