Description of church:
A well-known and nearby excursion point for the people of Velenje is situated on the hill Gradišče at an altitude 528 meters, on the south edge of valley Šaleška dolina.
It has two sides: on the northern side, above factory Gorenje, it is forested, and on the south it is inhabited and all in vineyards and orchards.
On panoramic hill there is church of St. Jakob from the year 1583, which regarding the appearance is considered as the oldest church in valley Šaleška dolina.
Both the nave of the church and presbytery are Romanesque and represent the only still preserved part of medieval castle Lilienberg.
Besides the marked path, to the church leads also the road through Podkraj.
From the church there is a nice view towards Velenje and surrounding hills.
