Almrauschhütte (pod Zirbitzkoglom)

Description of hut:
Almrauschhütte is a rustic mountain hut located at an altitude of 1620 meters in the heart of the Labotniške Alps (Seetaler Alpen). It is situated in an idyllic location on the edge of the forest and alpine meadows along the path to Zirbitzkogel. From the hut, there is a wonderful view of the surrounding ridges of the Labotniške Alps, and the surroundings offer a peaceful alpine atmosphere and unspoiled nature. The hut primarily serves as a self-catering accommodation facility (accommodates up to 9 people) and is furnished in an authentic style with a traditional tiled stove. In front of the hut, there is a beverage vending machine (getränkeautomat) that offers refreshment to passing hikers even when the hut is closed to external visitors.
Due to its strategic location, Almrauschhütte is an excellent intermediate stop for the ascent to the highest peak of the group, the mighty Zirbitzkogel (2396 m), and the neighboring peaks Scharfes Eck (2364 m) and Kreiskogel (2306 m).
