Belska planina (Svečica)

Description of hut:
Belska planina or Svečica (1687 m) lies west of the highest peak of Struška (Veliki vrh) on its southwestern slopes. Svečica is a pleasant and scenic mountain pasture above the tree line, embraced by extensive grazing lands, from which an idyllic view opens onto the Julian Alps and the Upper Sava Valley. A shepherd's hut (Planinski stan na Belski planini) stands on the pasture and is open during the summer grazing season, when the caretakers also offer visitors homemade refreshments.
