Description of bivouac:
Bivacco della Pace (German: Friedensbiwak) is located at 2,760 meters below the summit of Monte Castello (Ladin: Monte Ciastel, 2,817 m). The peak rises like a tower above the otherwise relatively gentle surroundings and is visible from afar. This area was also important during World War I, and a cargo cableway led to the current bivouac. The bivouac is very popular among ski tourers as well.
