Description of mountain:
Buchkogel or Wildoner Berg is a 550-meter-high hill in southern Styria.
Buchkogel together with the peaks Wildoner Schlossberg (450 m) and Bockberg (449 m) forms a ridge that was known in the Middle Ages as "Hengist".
Today it is called Wildoner Berg or Buchkogel after its highest summit, or Wildoner Buchkogel to distinguish it from the Buchkogel near Plabutsch.
There is no view from the summit due to the forest.
Due to its protected location it provides shelter for numerous animal and plant species.
The forest may only be accessed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. so that wild animals can feed undisturbed at the feeding stations.
