Chapel of St. Barbara on Pejce

Description of church:
Chapel of St. Barbara on Pejce is one (upper) of two chapels, which are situated by an old ironworkers path on which they were centuries ago transporting iron ore into a valley in Jesenice. From the path near the upper chapel the view opens up a little on a town in the valley, and towards Mala Mežakla. Once on Plavž (western part of Jesenice) there was a church of St. Barbara, but they tore it down in the end of 18th century. Today chapels on the path over Pejce are dedicated to her.
