Description of mountain:
Cima Ombrettola is a 2,931 m peak in the ridge that closes the namesake valley to the southwest and the Fuciade cirque/pasture to the north near Passo San Pellegrino. This easily accessible peak between the three-thousanders Sasso Vernale and Sasso di Valfredda offers fine views. The summit features a large cairn and an improvised cross made with barbed wire. The simplest access is from Passo Ombrettola; a more interesting approach follows the ridge from the pass between Ombrettola and Cima del Bachet.
