Description of mountain:
Eisenhut, at 2,441 meters, is the highest peak in the Gurktal Alps, which stretch across the basin of the Krka/Gurk River and descend to the north toward the Mur River valley. On the panoramic summit stands a cross with a summit register box. The view from the peak is extensive, reaching from the Karawanks, Kamnik-Savinja Alps, and Julian Alps, across the Carnic and Gailtal Alps to the High and Low Tauern as well as the nearby Lavanttal Alps; the most beautiful vistas are naturally those of the Gurktal Alps peaks.
