Description of mountain:
Galyatető is the highest peak in the western part of the Mátra Mountains. The peak is known as the second highest in Hungary, but in reality it is the third, as Pezső-kő is slightly higher. Galyatető (Galya - ship, tető - roof) is known as a ski resort and wellness center and is a fairly visited peak. Several paths lead to the summit from the surroundings. On the summit itself, a huge observation tower is under construction, to be completed in 2015.
