Gießener Hütte

Description of mountain hut:
The Gießener Hütte mountain hut is situated at 2,215 meters in the Ankogel group below the slopes of Hochalmspitze peak. The hut is open from early July to late September; when closed, a winter room with 12 beds is available. It offers nice views mainly toward Hochalmspitze summit and the Reißeck group.
