Description of mountain:
Großes Wiesbachhorn is a 3,564-metre mountain in the Glockner group of the High Tauern. Surrounded by numerous glaciers, it is very popular among mountaineers, especially in late summer when it can often be ascended in completely dry conditions. From the summit, where there is a cross, there is an excellent view of much of the High Tauern, with Grossglockner (Veliki Klek) and Grossvenediger standing out especially. The Northern Limestone Alps are also clearly visible in the distance. The mountain is also known for its eastern slope, which drops 2,418 metres from summit to valley—the greatest in the Eastern Alps.
