Description of mountain:
Gulacs is one of several volcanoes in the Tapolca Basin region. It boasts a distinctive cylindrical pyramid shape. Aside from an abandoned quarry and a survey tower on the summit, the volcano is nearly untouched—locals say it looks the same as millions of years ago. A trail spirals up to the peak. The eastern slope is notable for crossing a basalt scree field. Forest cover limits views from the summit to the west only.
