Hochobir (Ojstrc)

Description of mountain:
Ojstrc (Hochobir) is the highest peak of the smaller Obir range. It is located west of Železna Kapla (Eisenkappel) on the Austrian side of the Karavanke. From the panoramic summit, where a cross and meteorological station stand, there are fine views of the northern walls of Košuta, parts of the Kamnik and Savinja Alps, and to the north Mali Obir (Kleinobir) and part of the Drava Valley. The Obir is also known for its rich vegetation.
