Description of mountain:
Hoher Sonnblick, also known as Rauriser Sonnblick, is a 3106-meter-high mountain in the Goldberg group. The Zittelhaus hut and Austria's highest meteorological station are located on the mountain. From the summit there is a very nice view of the nearby glaciers and much of the Goldberg group. Grossglockner (Veliki Klek) is also clearly visible. The mountain is also interesting historically, as there are gold mines on its slopes, after which the Goldberg group is named. The Zittelhaus hut on the summit was built in 1886. The hut is open from early March to late October. When closed, a winter room with 10 beds is available.
