Klek

Description of mountain:
Klek is a 1,181-meter-high mountain in northern Gorski Kotar, west of Ogulin. It has a distinct rocky summit and steep upper ridge. North of the peak are two prominent rock pinnacles, Klečice.
South of the summit, at 1,000 meters elevation, there is a mountain hut open on weekends, offering only drinks (no food), but with a kitchen for self-cooking. Overnight stays are possible.
Klek is known as the cradle of Croatian mountaineering and a symbol of the HPD (Croatian Mountaineering Association).
