Klek

Description of mountain:
Klek is a 1181-meter-high mountain situated in northern Gorski Kotar, namely west of Ogulin. The mountain has a distinct rocky peak and a steep upper ridge. North of the peak are situated two distinct rock spikes, Klečice.
South of the peak, at an altitude of 1000 meters, is located a mountain hut, which is open on weekends and offers only drinks, no food. There is a kitchen in the hut where we can cook something ourselves. It is also possible to spend the night in the mountain hut.
Klek is also known as the cradle of Croatian mountaineering and a symbol of HPD (Croatian Mountaineering Club).
