Lake Kočevje

Description of mountain hut:
Rudniško Lake (also known as Kočevsko Lake) is a mining lake. A depression formed during brown coal extraction was later filled with water; while the mine was operating, water flowing from Rudniški Stream was pumped out. The lake, considered one of Slovenia's cleanest, reaches depths of up to 40 m.
Near the lake by the parking lot is the Ribič bar, and a short distance away is the Jezero - Tušek inn.
