Description of mountain pasture:
Lemovje is today an abandoned but exceptionally picturesque mountain hamlet situated on a sunny terrace high above the right bank of the Soča River, within the Triglav National Park area. The former pasture or small village is a living testament to the harsh life in Trenta. Due to its extreme isolation from the world and lack of drinking water, the last permanent residents abandoned it in the early 1970s. No road was ever built to the village, preserving here an authentic architectural heritage with elements of old Bovec-Trenta architecture, surrounded by old stone walls and former pastures. Above the hamlet extends a forest reserve of ancient beech forest that protected the homesteads from snow avalanches. From the edge of the terrace opens a wonderful view of the Upper Soča Valley and the surrounding peaks.
