Description of mountain pasture:
Planina nad Sočo is an exceptionally scenic mountain pasture located north of the village of Soča, on the sunny southern slopes below the ridge of Bavški Grintavec. The pasture features a well-maintained hunting hut (Lovska koča na Planini nad Sočo), from which opens a beautiful, open view towards the mountains rising above the upper reaches of the Soča River valley, with the Krn mountain range and peaks above Trenta especially prominent in the background. The former lively grazing pasture is now abandoned, its grassy areas slowly overgrowing, yet it still retains its enchanting, remote mountain atmosphere. It serves as a key intermediate point and resting spot on the ascent from the valley to the summit of the mighty Bavški Grintavec.
