Description of mountain hut:
Mountain hut Passauer Hütte is located at an altitude 2051 in the mountain group Leoganger Steinberge by notch Mittagsscharte. From the mountain hut is a very nice view towards wider surroundings, especially nicely we can see nearby peaks Birnhorn and Westliche Mitterspitze. The mountain hut was the first time built in the year 1891. In the year 1947 it was destroyed in a fire, and then it was again built in 1954. Later was several times renewed and enlarged. Mountain hut also has a winter room with 6 mattresses.
